Global Economy

My son has a new found liking for Chicken Lo Mein so I found a recipe to try last night.  I bought some Japanese udon noodles for this endeavor.

Very strange.  You don't see many Australian products here much less Japanese noodles.  I wonder how far these have really traveled?  The lo mein was ok.  I'll probably try a different recipe though.

Nice trees!

Yesterday was slightly more exciting than normal.  The big tree in front of my house decided it was tired of holding up three huge branches in front. 

One was lying across the road so the city came and cut it up and took it away but one is resting gently on the house and the other on the ground.  Poor old tree.

I finished a book

I just read the most awesome book.  The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson.  The bad news is that the next one wont be out until maybe January 2013.  The good news is that he intends to write 10 of them.  Entertainment for years to come.
